Being possessed by Christ

Christ’s walk to the cross is much, much more than empathy. Some Christ-followers might be tempted to look at the story of Jesus with a slightly skewed take. Some might see Jesus as a wise Grandfather who shakes his head and say, “You know sonny boy. When I was your age…" But that’s not the gospel. He’s not some high-minded therapist egging on the tears saying, “Let it out…”

On the contrary, Jesus says- look at how I lived my life in on the terra firma and follow.

“Follow you? How am I supposed to live like that?” the Christian asks.

Jesus replies, “Because I’m coming along. In fact I’m in You. You are possessed by Me.”

We’ve got everything we need to make the right choices, to be faithful to our spouse, to have a life of adventure, to dance the victory dance and to walk through death’s door with strutting confidence.
