holding loosely

I read this quote the other day and it reminded me of all God is teaching me lately.

"You can’t take the extended hand of Christ if your hands are filled with that which you have brought from the world. Hold everything earthly with a loose hand. "

So often I am tempted to trust in earthly securities rather than spiritual securities. So I challenge myself (and you) to...

• Look for ways to impact the community you live in.
• Give generously.
• Enjoy God.
• Gather for worship and anticipate an encounter with God.
• Pray for big things- (not a million dollars but changed lives)
• Reconcile with others.
• Be the change in your world.
• Trust God who continues to whisper, "I love you. You can do it!"

These are the cobblestones on the road to a blessed life.
