the present

The Present is what we have.  It’s not adorned in a brightly colored bow or found under tinsel and ornaments.  The present is today.  It’s what we have. Right here. Right now.  God became present on this Earth.  This is the message of the incarnation.  God became flesh and He dwelt among us.  He’s not a distant God who has never felt the touch of a hand, the tear of a child or the ache of a heart. He was present for it all. We celebrate that God created us but greater still, we celebrate that He walked with us.  Surely he taught us to love one another.  How did He love?  He was present. And we can follow His lead.  We, too, can be present!
