Wednesdays These Days

Every Wednesday afternoon, I get to be humbled.  I enter the county jail and teach a group of inmates.  It's inspiring but humbling. I'm praying for these men as they prepare for a second chance.  My major prayer is that they'll get that second chance.  They deserve it. They are believers.  They are survivors. They are overcomers.  I can't even imagine the challenges they face.  But in other ways I can imagine.  They are no different from me.  They are sinners. They are brothers. And I have grown to love them.
