    Emotionally Unhealthy People

    • Slosher

Everyday the slosher’s emotions spill all over other people. Even the people that they care for are prone to get a little anger, bitter words and confusion on them.

A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control. (Proverbs 29:11)

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing

     (Proverbs 12:18).

    • Spewer

The spewer doesn’t show her negative emotions until one unknown moment when those around them become the victim.

So Samson went out and caught three hundred foxes and tied them tail to tail in pairs. He then fastened a torch to every pair of tails, lit the torches and let the foxes loose in the standing grain of the Philistines. He burned up the shocks and standing grain, together with the vineyards and olive groves.

    •  The Sulker

They just sit and sulk and spread negativity, never confronting or speaking with honesty

"In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold."

    (Ephesians 4:26-7)

    • Sticker

They vent anger sarcasm, gossip, and mockery

Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger. (Proverbs 29:8)

For we do not have a High Priest (Jesus) Who is unable to understand and sympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses and infirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning.

    Hebrews 4:15

This is the model. Follow the one who experienced life in all of it's aspects but refused to adapt to the systems of the flesh.

Yikes. so true. I've been all of them at some point in time.
Hoping to grow to be more like Christ!

    Matt,
You can't believe how timely this is for us. Had a REALLY rough meeting at church the other night, and Bill is still trying to put some damage control into place. We've got one of each, (or more than that in some cases!)and we are so broken and frustrated in knowing how to deal with them. What do we do?? Any suggestions! The "sulker" and the "spewer" are our biggest problems. As much as Bill has begged them to come to him with issues before their bitterness starts to take root, they still do the same thing, usually blasting him in front of everyone at business meetings!
