Picture: View from Negev
So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, with his wife and everything he had, and Lot went with him. Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold.
Abram on the move again.
Rich now
Seeking something more than money, cattle, oxen, and power. Abram passes through Negev toward Bethel. Bethel means "House of God."
I am reminded that I am a pilgrim in Negev. I haven't made it to the house of God but my journey must continue. The more I am entranced by the glories of this world. Visions of beauty and comfort, the less chance I have to make it home safely.
My Negev is dry and often void of relief from the elements. This is because God is pushing me forward toward Bethel. This is my cry: "Onward to Bethel"
