    A movie I can't stop thinking about...

    I watched this movie on TV one night about a week ago and as is easily observed I have blogged very little but I keep thinking about the power of this movie. I'm sure it might have lots of blue language if you rent it but it's a hard movie to get out of your brain. It's about a retired insurance excecutive who is questioning whether he really lived life. He gets a world vision child and begins to confess to this foriegn 3rd world child some pretty philisophical stuff including lots of self doubt. There was a man all alone;
    he had neither son nor brother.
    There was no end to his toil,
    yet his eyes were not content with his wealth.
    "For whom am I toiling," he asked,
    "and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?"
    This too is meaningless—
    a miserable business!
    Ecclesiastes 4:8-10

    Then he receives a letter from his sponsor child... Maybe i'm the last person to see this movie but it was a great declaration of the power of intimacy, meaning, realization, clarity, intention and connection.
