Prayer for Holy Adventure

We are here for one reason and one reason only and that’s simply to have an encounter with You. Not just an emotional reaction, not a catharsis experience for the sake of catharsis, not to impress anyone but You. We read Your Word and we begin to understand that this life is absolute adventure, eternally dynamic, and we say to you Lord God, we want more. We want everything You have for us. Keep away from the briars of personal ego that line the trail. Keep us from the quicksand of conflict, the traps of transgressions and the wilderness wanderings of a church playing church.
We heard You this morning as we worshiped wooing us to something better. Give us the courage to embrace it.
