torn from the bitter depths
redemptive
ever changing
moving Spirit that draws me from the desolation
Lord, Jesus Son of God have mercy
upon a world of poor memory
we turn our back on the divine
Lord, Jesus Son of God have mercy
we are amazed by the trite and fleeting
Lord, Jesus Son of God have mercy
we too easily drawn to the foolish plots of our limited vision
Lord, Jesus Son of God have mercy
we treat the Word as rumor
Lord, Jesus Son of God have mercy
we are drawn into futile fusses and unnecessary burdens
Lord, Jesus Son of God have mercy
We are exhausted by the pace of the culture
We are prone to accept the seen above the unseen reality
Lord, Jesus Son of God have mercy
