He creates our twilight zone

Christians are often afraid of mystery.  It’s almost as if we believe that life should be understood completely but that is impossible.  There’s no way we could ever grasp the full nature of life.  Only that it is real. And God will have the final say.

There is that moment of realization
when all we are is mystery
we long for truth beyond the eyes
and life is more than we can see.
we’d like to think we are the sum
of all we crave, and think and do
of all that moves before us now
but no, there’s more inside of you.
there’s a shadow, a fear, a recognition
ambition leads to grave condition
God is much more than we have known
and He creates our twilight zone
