they came into the office today- Wedding licence in hand. Truck Drivers seeking blessing and hope. Believers but disconnected... 60 something. And so I blessed them, married them, and sent them on their way.

I talked to a staunch conservie once who had a standing rule that anyone on their staff doing weddings had to perform covenant weddings only. ONLY THE SERIOUS MUST APPLY...

But when I realized I was doing four funerals for every wedding (you are thinking of a movie aren't you), I began to cherish the chance to help with any wedding. During Katrina, we held a triple wedding. That was cool.
