I love this CS Lewis Quote- raw and so true...

our Lord finds our desires not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased.

I loved The Weight of Glory, and I remember that quote vividly. The Screwtape Letters remains my favorite work of Lewis, but there are so many great ones to choose from. A Grief Observed helped me out a lot earlier this year. Good to have a dose of C.S. to end my evening!
