Solviture ambulando
Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 07:27AM “Solviture ambulando.” (It is solved by walking.)
--St. Augustine
On the days and nights that i walk God begins to speak. Problems are solved and true listening occurs. Yesterday i thought about what i did which basically was this: i came into work at around 6:30 AM sat down, worked, went down to the cafe and bought a salad visited with the guys downstairs as I ate and then went back up here, worked until i had to leave for a meeting at church, drove to church, sat in a meeting, got back in the car, drove home, watched coverage of the VT horrors (Lord Jesus Son of God Have Mercy) and then went to bed. I laid in bed thinking, "I got stuff done, but did I really solve anything." My spirit was unsettled. My mind was scrambled and my heart was weary. Lord, teach me and remind me to solviture ambulando.
