a rich time
Monday, February 19, 2007 at 08:55PM My brief time at Bluegrass in Hendersonville has been so gratifying. God amazes me and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. We are on to phase three of this transition. We will set a vision for the church. Bluegrass BC already has a vision statement but I'm going to challenge them to start from scratch. We'll meet march 11th to begin the process. Our "memories meeting" on the 11th was nothing short of powerful. We met for 5 hours and unpacked about 20 years of victories, heart aches, accomplishments and wounds. Now, we can move forward to the holy work of reshaping this group of believers.
Some leaders I believe are a bit restless wanting to get going with the process and I can understand why. After you spend weeks trying to repair, reconcile and connect, we are all ready to just get on with it and begin the task of reinventing the churches purpose. I've been challenging them to try to be a 1st century church even more than a 21st century church.
