brokenness of an old friend

i talked to a friend today who is totally broken by life. it was a collapse from inside and i can't quit thinking about it. around 70 years old. a mentor and hero at lifeway. broken by the black dog that i've heard before in the distance and in the not so distant past- nearby. he was a man of great grace and now he struggles for his next breath. Lord Jesus Christ Son of God have mercy on my friend.
