    i. is still away but...

he's in communicatation with us. he's always been strong-willed so maybe he just wants to try out his wings. We are still praying for God to speak to him.  Whatever it takes... One of the things that I am learning through this- learning again and again... is to trust and believe even when things seem to be going in the opposite direction.

i'm reminded of a passage i read this morning in John 6:28-29

Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?"

Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."

The work that God has for me to do is to believe in Jesus.  that's it. That is the work I do on Earth. To believe.  And I'm learning that it really is a lot of work to believe even when life shows no progress- to believe that God is at work even when it's not in my prefered schedule.

Thanks. I really needed to hear those words about belief. It sounds so simple, but it's not.

    Hey Big Brother,
My Bride and I were talking about the prodical boy just this weekend. There is an amazing series of sermons about dad's grace, forgiveness, etc. But we seldom notice the strength it takes to wait there in anticipation. May God give you grace in your wait. May He bless you in supernatural strength. May we covenant to kneel with you expecting the return to your arms.

    Blessings,
    jp
