my song of grace
Monday, July 17, 2006 at 02:21PM beyond the scope of time and space
blood of God shed all from grace
whispered from the threshing floor
It follows me and millions more
the blessed thought
the open door.
here is love
i gaze through glass and light
still it shines through darkest night.
the love of God
restoring
fate
making my crooked living straight
and my mountains seem as plains
sometimes a whisper 'fore last thought of day
I love you
sighed
at the close of day
I love you
even as i faint
of walls and swales and bent restraint
of all that is not right and whole
You say
I love you
and if all were lost
I'd hold onto these words
(a vow I would never relent)
You love me.
Let it be
through dust and desert, sand and sea,
You mark me to eternity
no chasm greater than this deed
and my broken, limping life i lead
You seek my squalid, staggered pace
and my Beloved's name is grace.
