update on eyes and other news

i didn't realize how blind i was until i went to the eyes doctor. I think i blew my eyes out on computer screen over the past year. I've spent way too much time video editing. My distance vision and close up vision both need assistance.

I'm now a subscriber to integrity dsl service at home. It is incredible! The speed is great and the filtering is outstanding. With 5 males in under one roof, i'll gladly pay extra for the service. I love the fact that there's no getting around the filter it's our only link to the internet at home. I had a little bit of trouble installing it (mainly because the software was for a PC and we are on a mac at home. But after a few tech support calls we got it going. it feels good to do it for our family even though it's 48 dollars a month (ouch!) The only downside for all the sports fans in our house is that they block cnnsi- i would imagine it's because of the swimsuit pages.

The internet is such a mixture of blessing and curses. I love to blog, I'm very curious so i love researching everything from JFK to the shroud of turin- but sometimes it seems like the intenet is akin to living a few blocks away from the Las Vegas strip.
