i noticed you today...
Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 12:20PM eyes weary- the kind of exhaustion that sinks into the marrow. The dull malaise of always and never spanning the gulf of memory and yet, indeed more than the lost moments of Sabbath- instead the lostness of youth and high ambition. bruised by life, the unchanging waves of monotone nothings that reach the eves of the high cathedrals- bells silent. i heard the droll enunciation of rules and cultural norms like the wisp and the grunts of the labor camps. the exhale inhale simplicity of despondency. I noticed the low hum of fatigue that disquieted the heaviness of skin and the forfeiter of dream-like serenity and existence of red sea parting power. tongue swollen and the dry wind undoing the doing of life and i knew the brokenness of discouragement that falls like cracked leaves in the carolina october sky.
and yet there was beauty in the darkness and i could only touch and see it's gallant truth.
