interesting quote from the Haggard deal
Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 02:54PM Of the highest importance "is to make sure a candidate is nominated who is of the soundest mind and highest moral character to be assured we don't go down this road again," said New Life associate pastor Rob Brendle.
In any case, the kind of autonomy enjoyed by Haggard - the church's charismatic founding pastor - is a thing of the past, Brendle said.
"No future senior pastor of New Life Church will ever have as much power as Ted Haggard did."

not, "There, but for the grace of God, go I..." ??
do they not realize we are all of a fallen nature and no matter how you prepare for any new person coming into a ministry, they are also of a fallen nature and could commit the gravest of sins and they would once again, therefore, be down that road?
that is rather astonishing.
(hope you are well :)
