Philippians 2:19-24 (personal rendering)

Timothy’s on his way, Lord willing. I’m sending him as a gift to you because that’s what he is to me. There is no one in the world quite like him and I know he’d love to help you. You know the kind of people who are “me first” people? The church of Jesus Christ isn’t made of such. And Timothy is living proof. He’s not simply an assistant to me. He’s like a son. And how blessed am I to have him to help me spread the message of Christ!  I’m going to send him to you after I get a few things settled about my status here. And I’m optimistic that I’ll get out of here and return to you as well.
