Philippians 1:27-30 (personal rendering)

Come what may, imitate Jesus. Then whether I hear about you or see for myself, I'll know you for who you really are! I’ll know that this unity in Christ that we share is sure and our oneness will resemble one holy person, namely Christ making headway for grace in this fallen creation. If that’s who you are, then you’ll fear nothing - even those who try to rattle and threaten you. Our strong defense of the faith will let enemies beware of the ultimate, tragic destiny of their sinking ship and the sweet relief of the lifeboat of God in Christ Jesus our Savior. And remember, always remember, that the grand design of the faith is believing and suffering in Him. The struggle I face in prison is the same struggle you’ll have as you resemble Christ more and more.
