Patience: a quote and a new poem

“Let nothing disturb thee; Let nothing dismay thee; All things pass; God never changes. Patience attains all that it strives for. He who has God finds he lacks nothing:God alone suffices.” Teresa of Avila

How long must I stand on this hill?
how long will the struggle last?
how long will i hold onto hope?
    not having attained
    not having arrived
    not having seen
    not having become
    Lord, thou knowest the time
    Thou alone knowest the hour
    Thou knowest the struggle
    I wait on thy power.

Great and memorable patience quote and poem.

I'd like to share this one:

"Patience is the support of weakness; impatience is the ruin of strength."

    And this one:

"Never think that God’s delays are God’s denials. Hold on; hold fast; hold out. Patience is genius."
