a thought about cel phones

the thought crossed my mind after seeing people, obviously walking out of a meeting together- all talking on their cel phones... Are we not satisfied with our present companions? Is the collective loneliness so great that we need to be with even more people than have around us in person.

i've often found myself saddened by the sight of someone walking and talking on the phone - can we not be comfortable in our own solitude?

i actually relish the days i leave mine at home. not quite often enough...
