intimate prayer

Jesus Christ Son of God
My petitions now are few.
You and you alone know what i need.
Your love far deeper than mine.
O Father, give me all I am unable to ask in my earthborn ignorance
I ask not for renown or comfort's bliss
only to stand.
every hidden wound and shame I reveal to You.
And You see what others (even I) do not see.
See me, God
raise me- say "come forth."
I stand in silent awe of holy sacrifice that makes your judgements grace
and your yes eternity
this sufficient act (before my time) is beyond me
and so i lay myself down.
my bed an altar-
carry me through the night.
i burn my will for Your desire.
speak into dry bones and broken heart
bring holy fire in me.
