"Jesus... just in case you didn't know..."

Then the disciples came to Jesus and asked, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?"

The humor is obvious:

The disciples felt obligated to make sure that the master and creator of the universe knew He was being offensive to religiously important people.

They were concerned about earthly authority and acceptability. This is a trap i fall into often.  They missed Jesus' purpose and target. 

We often take the easy, less offensive road rather than the right road.

Jesus, I pray that my heart and mind will be more in tune with the truth than the religious culture that we so often encounter.
