stream of consciousness
Sunday, September 4, 2005 at 03:55PM do you hear what i hear
the deep thrushing of the helecopter (locust-like) as flying shingles dance across the screen
brotherless brother
the finger pointing that started long before the new birth of freedom
political cat calling
we, modern medianites, turn swords to each other
Like global mutiny...
and the darker purpose
isolation
and the poor, poor timing of mirth
the swarm of sounds and the despair
blanketed by a longing grace
and the hope that dawned- ago so long
i wonder and wander
i stain and strangely i feel
the power of the cross
and the mocking of the soldiers
who still bet over clothing
(we call them congressmen)
the rampant lust for power while a savior is excluded
they have booted him from schools, from counsels and the halls of justice
this civil disliberty union
who like lucifer seeks to put the truth to bed
knife in hand
but still i hear them coming
the tired poor huddled masses
the ones who need more than personal empowerment
these are the ones forsaken
political battles seem much more alluring
personal glory
adulation --
these are such that we
the people
can not see reality
(Jesus Christ Son of God)
he is there and He is seen when sought.
