Lord awaken me when...

i fall into survival mode
when i look too deeply into my so-called needs
when i peer into darkness
when i become my personal enemy
when i doubt the fire and wind
when i doubt the very fiber of my family tree
when i brashly cook the books of my personal history
when i deflate the party favors and sulk into the mire
when i ignore the angels

awaken me to the mystery of abundance and passion
that broke into bethlehem and pierced into the fire to pull me through
