    From St. Augustine's Prayer Book

For some odd reason I can't seem to keep away from "St. Augustine's prayer book." (I don't think W.A. Criswell would aprove- but it gives me so much comfort. I'm really not going catholic.

But there is something very worshipful about saying these prayers outloud or under my breath. Here's what I'm been praying between tasks today. Very healing...

Be merciful, Spare me, O Lord. Be merciful, Graciously hear me, O Lord.
From all evil, O Lord, deliver me.
From all sin, O Lord, deliver me.
From Thy wrath, O Lord, deliver me.
From a sudden and unprovided death, O Lord, deliver me.
From the snares of the devil, O Lord, deliver me.
From anger, and hatred, and all ill will, O Lord, deliver me.
From the spirit of fornication, O Lord, deliver me.
From lightning and tempest, O Lord, deliver me.
From the scourge of earthquake. O Lord, deliver me.
From pestilence, famine and war, O Lord, deliver me.

thanks, Matt, for the prayer...have been praying all day, under my breath, Lord deliver me from bitterness, should tacky remarks from the BODY OF CHRIST try to be used by Satan to cause me to go inward...am desiring to keep short accts. and also just PUT IT INTO MY ACTING WORK! Use it for the good of the theatre...lose it for the sack of my soul...and no, I'M NOT going catholic either

Hi Peggy! Goood to hear from you. I'm still hoping to email you on the requests you had.

    "Sack of my soul..."

I think that describes this skin we've been given here on earth. :-)
