Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege (the overwhelming preciousness, the surpassing worth, and supreme advantage) of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him [of perceiving and recognizing and understanding Him more fully and clearly]. The cross makes everything a loss that does not dwell in it's shadow. But not only does the cross make all null but it turns all to evil. The holiness of Christ's sacrifice compells the believer to place every avenue, every corner, every stronghold, every hour on the altar of sacrifice.
Were the whole realm of nature mine,
