Matthew 20:29-31 thoughts
Friday, May 6, 2005 at 02:13PM As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him. Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"
The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"
Jesus knew where he was going-fully aware of the suffering, the pain , the betrayal, the nails.
Jesus also had a perspective that looked past the crowds. He went against the crowds demands. (So hard for me to do!)
I'm like these blind men. I know Jesus even though I've never seen him.
God blesses people who are at the end of the rope.
Jesus is never too busy to stop.
32Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked.
He's still asking that question!
34Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.
When Jesus acts people follow.
