re: the state of the Bride

Creating time and space for life- the task of everyman. we are too easily drawn into false agendas and preambles of iconic stuffed bunnies. and there we run like greyhounds chasing after false rewards without a scent of truth. i speak not of (only) them but us- the early sunday morning tribes. those filled with formulas and catalogues exchanging this blood stained adventure for a check-box religion. We tighten our bows and paint our faces. spiritually the church becomes infidels of order seeking accomplishment and climate control over the rest and work (in that order) of the essence of everything that was ever good. Hey Matt --

Thanks for offering a thoughtful, thought-provoking piece of prose. I just got to it today and it's a great remedy for a sleep-inducing Friday afternoon at work! Any news on the video-blogging front?

    God's peace to you,
    Jeremy

I, too, cry and become disheartened with our 'standardized services' and our attempts to 'break out of the box'. We end up only trying to take something that someone else has done and make it our own.

When will we go straight to HIM and see how HE would have us serve HIM?

When will we realize that WORSHIP and PREACHING are two totally different things?

I want to WORSHIP GOD in HIS SANCTUARY! I want the Children of God to find depth in their service to HIM - not give attendance to a pre-determined time on Sunday.

When, O Lord, will my heart find gladness in service to You? When will I find a place of service to lead Your people in searching for the great depths of Your love?

Like David, Lord, I lift up my voice, my heart, and my hands to You. Use Me!

Hi Friends. Thanks for commenting. Kelly, I say amen!

Jeremy, I hope to do some video blogging really soon. This month has been way to busy to be creative. I appreciate your kind words on my musing. Reading back on it-- i'm surprised to be understood. Kind of a disjointed thing but you were able to decipher:-)
