    details...

Bruce is going to take Brian Hall's place on the cast for Celebrate Life next week. What a difficult 48 hours this has been but i see us getting out of the woods a little.

The writer's conference movie today was Luther which I've seen so I came back to the room to catch up on my real job. The junk is flying in Nashville and I am trying to keep up with it all.

Isaac is playing an extra in "The Man Who Came to Dinner"-- A last minute thing... Funny that I was in my High School's "Man Who came to dinner" good 23 years ago...

I had the sweetest conversation with a widow who served on the mission field for 31 years. She and her husband went the year after I was born. Such a saint! Her reward will be great. I prayed for her and it was the highlight of the day. Probably late seventies and still writing and ministering. Husband died of a stoke a few years back.

I was there, and it was an incredicle expereince to hear the depth of feeling that so many expressed, especially as Matt called on us to remember "rejection." As others shared, I thought of how incredibly blessed I am to have lived in such a state of affirmation that I could not really find any. By contrast, I shared with a class member this morning of an experience when my father arrived on the scene of an accident (my fault) in his new car, and my first--instinctive--reaction was to breathe a deep sigh of relief and say to myself, "Daddy's here." The pain that I have known in my life is so miniscule, that I sometimes wonder why I have been so blessed. I only want to share that kind of hope with others. It is for me a tremendous "foretaste of glory divine."

Thanks Carey. It was great to connect with a fellow Louisianian.
