4:30 in Mcminnville
Sunday, February 27, 2005 at 04:35PM I've had a good afternoon of silence and reflection. This morning I did something that I haven't done here and that I usually don't do because i think it's over-used and usually a little goofy. I asked people (every-head-bowed-every-eye-closed) (i've heard it a million times- hey i'm sbc) anyway I asked those that haven't received Christ but wanted prayer to raise their hands. Three raised their hands but none came forward. I lead the congregation in "the prayer." It seemed like a really natural thing to do and I am praying that those who prayed will make their decision public.
I'm wondering this afternoon how the couples visit to our house went. It all seems like such a real possibility that I don't even want to think about- afraid that I'll be depressed if they don't buy the house. We are, though, giving them a really great deal on it.
Lord, I am asking for your grace today. We have felt such a financial burden regarding the house. Please remove this thorn.
