    malcolm x

finished watching the american experience documentary on malcolm x. watched it in around three sittings-- life is to full for anything over an hour these days. my thought on his life- he had plenty of reason to be angry with anglos. His father thrown into the path of a train... being burned out of their home as a child several times. we easily dismiss the past but he was a product of the prejudice of our forefathers.

the other observation i have about the viewing was that the muslim faith tends to trail off into violence. violence toward not only non-muslims but violence among their own people. They seem to believe that terror can be a part of the will of Allah.

Why is this? I must read more about the muslim faith to understand it.

The appearance of Malcolm X magnifies the extrordinary force of MLK as a prophet and true hero of freedom. But he is somewhat of an inigma as well. such an anointed speaker and writer- but he had his own personal demons.
