At Judson Baptist Retreat Center
Friday, February 11, 2005 at 10:41PM I had a great visit with my dear little brother John P. at a hole in the wall cajun joint. wonderful to visit him. When i see people that i've not visited in person for years it reminds me of what heaven must be like. all those important people that we've known but then we experience separation as we grow up, out or away- in heaven we'll have time to talk and celebrate- eat good food and bask in the glow of God. I can't wait. take us now Lord.
I want to see Rich Mullens. Listened to his music on the way here and I had to cry because i miss him. not ever getting the chance to shake his hand and tell him how his music both devastated and revived my soul- and brought me closer to my Lord and my God. I just wanted five minutes to do that but he made an early exit. i sound like a weird elvis type fan but i can't think of it that way. He was ... OK maybe it is kind of an Elvis-like thing. it's absurd for me to mourn someone I've never met... But i am happily, unabashedly absurd.
Rich brought me back with this one thought-
nothing is beyond You.
For the prodigal i so many times am. this one phrase has changed my life. Nothing is beyond the reach of holy God. Not even me.

Such is our mortal life.
I hope we do not have to wait until heaven to finish all the stories we started yesterday.
I pray for your protection in your travels.
Blessings on you and yours,
Rev. Banzai
