    prayers and summary before bed

Back at Mom and Dad’s house. This has been a nice little stop on the way. Got to see the family and had a chance to enjoy the sights of a drive I’ve taken so many times.

I’m excited about getting to rest tonight and wake up without that annoying alarm.

Tired from the drive but very much alive with the thought of visiting a little slice of my past. The greatest joy of my life has been the journey. Lord, help me be in the moment rather than obsessing over the future. It’s is in your hands.

Good news about the house, the Lord has opened up a few possibilities. A man who is wanting to make an offer a few thousand dollars under the asking price and a couple that is interested in a lease-purchase deal. I don’t exactly know how lease purchase works so we’ll have to do some work if we choose that route. I’m more intrigued by the buy under the asking price. It’s in God’s hands. I am at ease in this whole thing. We are all a little tired of the appartment. Too many boys in too little space.

I woke up this morning to a beautiful dusting of snow. God’s forgiveness remembered.

    Lord, show me the simplicity

Cover me in the abundance of your grace.

    Create purity and childlike faith.

Shower this cruel world with mercy

    I lay down in peace.

    I treasure the moment.

    I submit to your will.

I thank you tonight for my sweet friends scattered across the earth.

    Bless the miles between us.

I am drawn to your love and forgiveness.

I pray that you will take my ordinary life.

Transcend the doubts, shame, regret, and uncertainty that follows me.

Guard my steps and my heart.

    I am adoring you.

    You love is good.

I will chase after you like a leper

If you will... have mercy... Son of David.
