from a father to a son

my love for you is relentless
it spans the course of life present and eternal.
it stands amidst the winds of chaos
and my love will not fail.
you may seek after others
you may chase the mirages of false gods
and easy roads
my love is not dependant upon your response to it.
if the road leads you to far countries and distant shores
i will remain.
nothing will change the design of the blood that unites us.
and when you reach that point of desparation
know that my light still burns
like the glory of the first ressurection
because you are my son.
i release you to the results of your path.
though painful and though i war on your behalf
and pray that i'll see your shadow
on the edge of the horizon.
