What makes us tick when we should tock

i am amazed the way men think (or don't think). We have an incredible capability to totally mess things and people up. I don't know how or why we do this but sometimes we elude reality in order to achieve momentary exhileration and conquest. several stories and events have brought me to this question as I've witnessed the power of free will and compulsion.

What is it that makes us act and react the way we do? How easily we fall into our own chasms! We can have all the right answers, do all the right things and then make the stupidest choices. I don't understand how we men do this. And the scary thing to me is that I know if some of the people i admire do crazy things, i too am capable of it. I'm also capable of trashing my life, ministry, family, and career in less that 24 hours. (I beg for God's power to never do it, but do i have that capacity? Yes.)

Hi Matt, I have recently been blogging on Xanga. The blog site is: vickilsullivan. I'm a very good writer. I would be willing to write anything as long as it is Biblically sound doctrine and not designed to clone religious converts.

Thanks for asking. What are the needs as you see them as editor of the magazine? I would really like to read through a few copies. I tried to find how to order one from Lifeway but didn't find it on the Lifeway site.
