Genesis 15: the promise

"God took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars-if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."

God uses the universe as a holy parable. He knew that our finite minds could never grasp the power of God's promise. God lifted the veil of time and revealed a plan for Abram. Lord give me the courage and the faith to believe the divine promises you've given me. Lift my eyes to the heavens and cause me to live beyond hoizonal day-to-day experience. My life sometimes seems barren and jumbled. I trust the my heritage to you.
