Genesis 12: the man from a place called ur
Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 07:32PM The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
"I will make you into a great nation
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;
and all peoples on earth
will be blessed through you."
No directions, no reasons, no time frame. Lord. I pray for Abram's willingness and courage when you ask me to leave my coutry, my people, and my household. I pray for spiritual roots but not geographical roots. Make me a citizen of Heaven.
Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.
You know it's a real famine when you go to Egypt for relief!
