    mercy-Christ

    like nothing even since before-
rain of mercy, the floodgates of passion
the hope scarcely draws from vacant paths or dust filled rooms
the hope is alive as soon as the sun.
it dives beyond the leperous words of mortal thoughts
it circles the sun in a dance more than march
This mercy far stronger than systems of law
far greater than the judge and jury
it rises and breathes and never knows fear
Mercy came to me one night in the futility of my wretched sinful state
    it ignored the husks,
    the idols,
    the journals of misgivings
and chance tragedies of my own demise
it compells me to fight under the flag of grace
see it wave through the long and gallant night
the tidings stitched and crest inscribe
    The blessed blood of mercy-Christ
