back from work

This was an excellent day in terms of productivity. Tonight I stayed late to work on the mercy book. I'm about a quarter of the way there and I feel pretty good. Even my arm is feeling fairly rested.

I think my word count this evening was somewhere around 2900 words. I am very motivated to finish this book as Feb. 1st rolls around- the due date for the final payment on Isaac's tution. I'll pay for his tuition and maybe have enough extra to buy a CD. Oh the simple pleasures of compensation.

It's amazing how much money it takes to raise a family and only by God's grace have we been able to keep afloat with the house payment and the apartment rent. It's going to be wonderful to be freed from the burden of the mortgage. The older I get the more I long for a simple life. (cue the "green acres" music.)
