Boot Camp Question
Friday, January 14, 2005 at 02:18PM Q: from Connie Little- Could you give me a brief schedule for a youth drama boot camp?
A: Sorry this has taken longer than I promised. Here's a simple schedule
for a Student Boot Camp. If you are doing an adult bootcamp it
shouldn't be this intense.
Ask the participants to eat supper before they come to the church. (I
do recommend that you have this boot camp at the church because you'll
have access to the platform where they will probably have their first
performance. )
7:00 Warm ups(stretching, vocal, facial)
7:30 Short introductory time to share the vision of the drama team
and to give them the member contract if you have not already done so.
8:00 Improv Games
8:45 Break
9:00 Rehease Movement piece 1
9:45 Introduce Sketch A
You may choose to divide them into groups to rehearse more than one
sketch You'll need another director to do this though.
10:30 Rehearse Movement piece 1 again (everyone back together
11:00 Introduce Sketch B
12:00 Rehearse Movement Piece 1
Saturday Morning
8:00 Simple Breakfast/ High on Carbs:-)
8:30 Introduce Movement 2
10:00 Rehearse Movement 1 and most developed sketch
11:00 Rehease Movement 2
11:30 Lunch
12: Rehearse Movement 1 & Sketch until it is at performance level.
After students are gone collapse!
